About The Position
As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application’s functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you’ll use your operations and maintenance skills to ensure that things run smoothly. We’re looking for a software sustainment engineer like you to apply your knowledge to our clients’ challenges and their legacy enterprise systems. As a software sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll have an operational impact from day one. Supporting a team of professionals, you’ll help maintain applications and keep systems working. You’ll use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain the applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements. Most importantly, you’ll learn how we advise our clients on the best ways to improve and modernize the existing systems. Requirements
- Experience with programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash
- Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship environments
- Experience with conducting research and writing software
- Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in a Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field by Winter 2027, Spring 2028, or Summer 2028
