The Software Developer supports the United States (U.S.) Army C5ISR Center to develop advances within cyber defense research; advanced detection methods; sensor structure, data optimization, and sensor architectures; intrusion detection innovations, evaluation methods, attack behaviors, insider threat and adversarial threat predictions. The role involves developing, supporting, and updating the CSSP’s custom software primarily deployed in a RHEL infrastructure. The portfolio of products includes, but is not limited to, Interrogator, CSSP Subscriber Manager (CSM), RMF Writer, and other tools and applications. Additionally, the developer will create new applications or tools using core programming languages (Python, PHP, JavaScript, C/C++, Java) as requested, leveraging existing frameworks and technology. Troubleshooting application issues and advancing the state of the art in tools, techniques, and approaches through research and development are key aspects of this position. This includes applying ML and advanced techniques to data, utilizing cloud-based and/or virtualization technologies, implementing modern display and user interface techniques, adapting systems to new environments, and refining systems to reduce computational and storage requirements.
