About The Position

Genetec develops open-platform software, hardware and cloud-based services for the physical security and public safety industry. Its flagship product, Security Center, unifies IP-based video surveillance, access control and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) into one platform. You could be part of the Cloudrunner team, a software development team responsible for building and evolving Genetec’s cloud-based vehicle-centric investigation platform. Cloudrunner brings Genetec’s years of expertise in automatic license plate recognition into the cloud, enabling users to collect, process, search, and analyze vehicle data at scale. The team works on a modern cloud platform that connects field devices, data processing services, storage systems, APIs, and web applications into one cohesive solution. As part of this team, you will collaborate closely with other engineering groups, product managers, UX specialists, architects, DevOps teams, and quality specialists to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud services. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a multidisciplinary software developer who is interested in end-to-end development and who wants to contribute to a platform that combines cloud services, distributed systems, web technologies, data processing, and operational reliability. You will be a full member of the team and a regular contributor to Cloudrunner’s evolution. We want you to succeed!

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Web technologies such as React, Angular, Typescript, and CSS
• Strong knowledge and experience with C# and the .NET framework
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

Nice To Haves

• Good knowledge and experience in Go.
• Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with microservices & containerization

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features across the Cloudrunner platform, including web applications, APIs, back-end services, cloud infrastructure, and storage solutions
• Build secure, scalable, and reliable applications and services using Microsoft Azure and modern software development practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services with devices, data pipelines, and user-facing applications
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions to help define solutions that meet product, security, scalability, performance, compliance, monitoring, and operational requirements
• Contribute to the development and improvement of distributed systems that support high-volume data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval
• Diagnose software issues, investigate production and integration problems, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely resolution and system recovery
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while contributing to code reviews and technical discussions
• Help improve development practices, automation, observability, deployment pipelines, and DevOps processes
• Support the team’s continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, proposing technical improvements, and helping raise the overall quality of the product
