About The Position

Leidos is seeking candidates for security clearance sponsorship in support of a Northern Virginia client. If selected by the program and client for upgrade sponsorship, the candidate will be submitted for Top Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance. Candidates who are selected for upgrade and who may ultimately be granted TS/SCI with polygraph will have the ability to work in cleared government spaces utilizing the highest levels of security clearance in support of our client’s mission. The sponsoring program conducts full lifecycle software and systems development, engineering, administration for our client. There is zero ability for remote or hybrid work. We have a limited number of clearance upgrade billets available and typically there are many more interested candidates than billets. Therefore, this opportunity can be very competitive. We are seeking candidates who are fully committed to completing the process, working with Leidos on the contract and meet the following criteria: Currently located in the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA), or willing to travel at your own expense, to attend in-person meetings in Northern Virginia as required by the client in support of the clearance upgrade process (i.e. investigator interview(s), polygraph examination(s), etc.) Ability to pass the client’s security prescreen process prior to interviewing with the program team and prior to clearance upgrade initiation Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology discipline, or a current undergraduate pursuing a degree in an Information Technology discipline Willing and able to commit to working full-time for the sponsoring client at a sponsoring client building in Northern Virginia for at least two years following clearance upgrade adjudication (clearance processing can be expected to take at least 18-24 months) Experience or education specialized in the following fields: Software Engineer or Software Developer If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Requirements

Currently located in the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA), or willing to travel at your own expense to Northern Virginia for clearance process requirements.
Ability to pass the client’s security prescreen process.
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology discipline, or currently pursuing a degree in an Information Technology discipline.
Willing and able to commit to working full-time for the sponsoring client in Northern Virginia for at least two years following clearance adjudication.
Experience or education specialized in Software Engineering or Software Development.
Fully committed to completing the security clearance process.
Fully committed to working with Leidos on the contract.

Responsibilities
