About The Position
At Apple, the Software Developer will build tests, tools, and frameworks to solve complex problems and scale automation across teams developing cellular products. The role focuses on tools for configuring and visualizing integrated cellular Radio Frequency products and RF chipsets, using big data, AI, and machine learning. It bridges software development with real-world cellular and wireless applications and involves working with RF teams on-site and globally. The team has end-to-end responsibility, from gathering requirements and defining design and architecture through development and delivery of the finished product. The environment is collaborative, creative, and fast-paced, using modern technologies to address unique challenges. The role calls for a self-motivated, detail-oriented developer with a strong technical foundation, curiosity about AI/ML, and a genuine interest in programming.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development; experience developing RF products is preferred.
- Experience applying AI/ML to real-world engineering problems, including anomaly detection, data analysis, or automation.
- Strong object-oriented and functional programming skills in Java and/or Python.
- Proven ability to develop high-quality software products.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Self-starter with an agile mindset.
- Excellent English communication, problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related equivalent field.
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD.
- Experience using AI/ML to monitor, detect, and analyze anomalies in high-volume data systems.
- Expertise in multithreading and parallel processing.
- Experience with integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G mobile communication technologies; preferably also 5G.
- Understanding of RF systems and RF building blocks.
- Ability to conduct in-depth design and code reviews.
- Good requirements-gathering skills and ability to break projects into tasks.
- Experience working on developer-facing tools or automation frameworks.
