About The Position

Top Aces’ Advanced Aggressor Mission System (AAMS) integrates avionics, sensors, EW systems, and tactical data links. This role focuses on developing mission‑critical software for airborne platforms. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing real‑time embedded software supporting AAMS capabilities, including sensor fusion, tactical displays, and aircraft system integration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related.
  • Experience configuring computer / PC hardware and making hardware settings.
  • Experience with video settings and video conversion.
  • Demonstrated programming experience C/C++.
  • Demonstrated experience with networked systems.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows OS environments.
  • Experience in configuring and using interfaces using the following network types: ARINC429 & 743, MIL-STD-1553B, Ethernet, RS-232/242.
  • Experience in remote diagnostics / remote troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering in the integrated mission system context.
  • Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and Level 2 Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with DO‑178C, aviation systems, or defense software is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Mission‑system software development — Build and maintain software modules for avionics, EW, and tactical subsystems.
  • Research and implementation of interfaces using Interface Specification Documentation. Develop program modules that implement information and command exchange between subsystems.
  • Manage the design environment in conjunction with the Top Aces IT department.
  • Manage the software module library and compile functional programs suitable for different mission systems.
  • Develop C/C++ applications for reliability-critical environments.
  • System integration — Integrate software with aircraft hardware, sensors, and communication buses (MIL‑STD‑1553, ARINC‑429, Ethernet).
  • Verification & validation — Support unit testing, integration testing, and flight‑test readiness.
  • Documentation — Produce design artifacts aligned with aerospace certification standards.
  • Provide support to users in terms of configuring and troubleshooting the mission system under development.
  • Develop applications / software tools for monitoring the correct functioning of the mission system including via remote connection.
