About The Position

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Software Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for an aeronautical navigation program. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly. The position operates on a hybrid schedule with a typical work week of three to four days on-site.

Requirements

  • Software development using C#, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Python and shell scripting
  • Web application development in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, or Web Services)
  • Version control and repository management using GitLab
  • DevOps principles and tooling for feature delivery within an Agile construct
  • SAFe Agile participation including standups, sprint planning, and Increment Planning Events
  • Agile project tracking and documentation using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Integration of open-source software solutions into existing GOTS codebases
  • Code review participation and defect resolution
  • Basic understanding of AI tools applied to software development, including code assistance and debugging
  • Active Top Secret clearance with agreement to obtain CI Poly

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Product Owners, QA Managers, architects, and development teams in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions supporting mission objectives and product requirements.
  • Participating in a SAFe Agile workflow including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Reviewing and implementing software requirements.
  • Supporting task execution.
  • Contributing to deployment activities.
  • Applying software development and troubleshooting experience to resolve defects.
  • Maintaining secure and agency-compliant code baselines.
  • Participating in code reviews.
  • Documenting technical solutions.
  • Ensuring overall system code coverage remains above 80%.
  • Supporting software quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
