Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking a Software Developer to join the Computing Directorate, matrixed to the Security & Protection (S&P) Program. The S&P program is responsible for developing and maintaining the Argus security system and related physical security hardware and software, and collaborates with other DOE laboratories on security system solutions. This role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing up to 2 days of remote work per week. The position will be filled at either the SES.3 or SES.4 level, depending on experience and qualifications. You will collaborate on complex software engineering projects using modern development practices, contribute to the full software development lifecycle from requirements to optimization, and function as an effective team member on multidisciplinary teams. You will also interact frequently with developers, management, and sponsors, and provide creative technical solutions to complex stakeholder requests and operational requirements. Additional responsibilities at the SES.4 level include managing multiple complex tasks, developing software systems using object-oriented techniques, and providing solutions to highly complex problems.
