About The Position

CENTRA CREDIT UNION is seeking a Software Developer in Columbus, Indiana. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to support Centra's operational and digital needs. The position focuses on building secure, reliable applications, integrating systems, and supporting technology modernization efforts to enhance internal efficiency and member experience. The Software Developer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement solutions aligned with requirements, technical standards, and Centra's development practices. The role involves delivering high-quality code, supporting cloud-based development, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Centra's software environment. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
A minimum of five years up to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
Proficiency in modern development languages (C#/Node.js) and frameworks
Experience building and integrating APIs, microservices, and system connections
Experience developing and optimizing database queries, stored procedures, and related components
Experience implementing Azure cloud tools and DevOps pipelines
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Experience participating in code reviews
Experience documenting software development lifecycle processes
Experience supporting troubleshooting and resolution of application issues
Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations

Responsibilities

Develops, designs, tests, and maintains software applications and services using modern development languages (C#/Node.js) and frameworks.
Builds and integrates APIs, microservices, and system connections for reliable data exchange between internal applications, core processing, and digital banking systems.
Develops and optimizes database queries, stored procedures, and related components for secure and efficient application performance.
Implements Azure cloud tools and DevOps pipelines for deploying and maintaining applications according to technical and security standards.
Collaborates with team members, internal stakeholders, and external technical resources to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Participates in code reviews to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to coding and security practices.
Recommends technical improvements to existing applications for enhanced stability, performance, or maintainability.
Documents software development lifecycle processes, including documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities.
Supports troubleshooting and resolution of application issues and participates in on-call or after-hours support as needed.
Remains cognizant of and adheres to Centra Credit Union policies and procedures, including regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
