About The Position

We are hiring a Software Developer to design and build the cloud-native applications that power Ryze’s claims operations. You will work across our Microsoft Azure stack, building backend services, frontend tools, and mobile experiences used by adjusters and carrier partners every day. You will also help us modernize how we use data and AI, from Power BI dashboards leadership relies on to Azure OpenAI integrations that drive efficiency across the claims lifecycle. This is a hands-on role for a developer who likes solving real business problems with clean, scalable code, and who wants their work to matter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in a Microsoft-centric stack
  • Strong working knowledge of Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL
  • Demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards, work-item management)
  • Solid understanding of core Azure services across compute, networking, storage, monitoring, and security
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI or other Microsoft-aligned BI tools
  • Exposure to mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)
  • Familiarity with modern AI technologies, ideally within the Azure ecosystem (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker containerization
  • Hands-on knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for low-code solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end data analytics
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Security tooling (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Zero Trust architecture)
  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-204 (Azure Developer) or AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience integrating Copilot or GPT-based models into enterprise workflows
  • Prior experience building software for insurance, claims, or financial services industries

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full-stack applications using Node.js (backend) and React (frontend), hosted on Azure App Services and Azure Functions
  • Contribute to mobile applications using React Native, .NET MAUI, or equivalent cross-platform frameworks, built around how our adjusters work in the field
  • Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases in PostgreSQL, including Azure Database for PostgreSQL
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) within an Agile/Scrum delivery cadence
  • Provision and manage Azure infrastructure: Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for repeatable, auditable Azure deployments
  • Build Power BI dashboards and analytical reports that turn claims data into business decisions; explore Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics
  • Integrate Azure OpenAI Service, Cognitive Services, and Copilot-style AI features into Ryze applications and internal workflows
  • Use Azure API Management and Logic Apps for enterprise integrations with carriers, vendors, and internal systems
  • Apply Microsoft Identity Platform (Entra ID) for secure authentication, authorization, and single sign-on
  • Partner with cloud architects, security engineers, data analysts, and product owners to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
  • Stay current with the Microsoft product roadmap and bring forward ideas that improve how we build
