About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Software Developer to join our team. This role involves delivering simple solutions to complex problems, tailoring cutting-edge solutions to unique client requirements, and prioritizing the end-user's experience. The position requires US Citizenship and the candidate must be local to the Ashburn, VA office. The role is hybrid, with one day per week onsite in Ashburn, VA.
Requirements
- US Citizenship Required.
- Candidate must be local to the Ashburn, VA office.
- 7+ years of Java development experience, Java 8 and higher preferred.
- Experience developing against relational databases and solid SQL querying skills.
- Experience of programming frameworks like Spring or Angular.
- Experience with web services development – SOAP/REST.
- Experience of UI development.
- Experience writing automated unit tests.
- Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and AWS.
- Experience working on an Agile Team.
- Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- Java development experience, Java 8 and higher, Spring or Angular, SOAP/Rest.
- Ability to obtain a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Trust Suitability (takes 4-6 weeks).
- Must be on camera during virtual interviews.
- Authorize the collection, processing, and use of biometric data for identity verification and security purposes.

- DHS or CBP public trust preferred.
- BI Full 6C (T4) clearance level.
- Java 8 and higher preferred.
- Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and AWS.
