The Software Developer III co-designs, develops, tests, and prepares OpenEdge ABL software solutions to meet business requirements and improve operational processes. They collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, conduct testing, prepare documentation, assist with user training, support system enhancements, and maintain awareness of emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of systems programming or software development experience
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of programming languages, software tools, and data structures
  • Understanding of existing & emerging technologies
  • Ability to apply procedures, tools, and development methods
  • Systems integration skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Communication & presentation abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in OpenEdge ABL a major plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and prepare software solutions for implementation
  • Follow established procedures and use available tools to build software products
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to ensure software efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct testing to validate alignment with user requirements
  • Prepare documentation for system changes and support recommended modifications
  • Present software solutions and changes to managers and employees
  • Coordinate with software suppliers to maintain alignment with concurrent developments
  • Assist with stakeholder training during implementation
  • Support users with day-to-day operating issues
  • Maintain awareness of technological developments to keep systems modern and effective
