Requirements

  • Working knowledge of OpenEdge ABL (Progress 4GL).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • 2+ years of related experience with software development and implementation.
  • Experience working with Relational Databases (i.e., SQL).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while being in a team environment.
  • Strong technical insight and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support technical decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within Financial Industry is an asset.
  • Experience with RESP, RDSP, FATCA/CRS, and/or other government regulations is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders, development team, and Agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.
  • Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
  • Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
  • Ensure functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity’s position within the Mutual Fund Industry.
