About The Position

GRVTY is seeking a Software Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in McLean, VA. The Software Developer will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile software development environment. The multi-disciplinary project team works together on multiple projects that includes automating processing of large forensic images, extracting and enriching metadata, and displaying resulting information in meaningful ways for analysts to conduct assessments. Team members utilize a mix of COTS and GOTS tools and technologies; as well as build integrations with a variety of external partner applications. Most solutions are cloud-based. The Sponsor adheres to Agile Scrum development methodology best practices and has 2-week sprint cycles.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).
  • Demonstrated experience with Node.js web frameworks (such as Express, Koa or Hapi) and API development.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with CSS preprocessors (such as Sass).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Demonstrated experience with a working knowledge of SQL databases including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with ORMs (such as Prisma, Sequelize, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker or Podman).
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience with and strong understanding of web application security best practices and usability principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong problem-solving skills including debugging, testing, and troubleshooting complex web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code tools; Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS services (to include EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch)
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization such as Docker and Podman.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong scripting proficiency: Bash and Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with database self-hosting including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, high availability, and performance tuning using PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; Prometheus/Alertmanager and CloudWatch.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying diverse software systems: AWS cloud services, open-source applications, COTS/GOTS products, and custom applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with networking, security, IAM policies, and AWS architecture best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
