About The Position

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Software Developer the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful supporting the Navy. Design and implement advanced code and table configurations for data sets. Analyze user needs and evaluate new cloud technologies as they become available. Collaborate with development team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions. Maintain an understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT, and business needs, while identifying and proposing functional efficiency. Use cloud-based architecture and agile coding for engineering and development activities to support reliable network performance, modern resource management and innovative security processes. Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements Perform administrative tasks, such as user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to align with business needs Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for issues related to integrated processes and platform functionality Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products Contribute to IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • 5 years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in the cloud environment.
  • Experience in solutions development and applications using well-architected cloud frameworks, services, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical and process documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least some of the following cloud providers working in a multi-cloud environment: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least some of the following DevOps tools: GitHub, GitLab, SSMS, Visual Studio.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new and changing technology.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal, written, listening and non-verbal communication) skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM, writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance.
  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Systems, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, Software Engineering/programming, Management or Business/Finance.
