About The Position
We are seeking a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.
Requirements
- Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
- Significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
- Significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
- Significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot)
- College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
- Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services
- Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB
Nice To Haves
- At least two of the following big data tools: Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase
Responsibilities
- Performing schema updates
- Submitting Lucene queries
- Understanding how Solr/Elastic shards work
- Tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
- Implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
