About The Position

We are looking for passionate software developers with a range of experience—from talented newcomers to seasoned professionals—to join one of our engineering teams. You'll be part of the team responsible for designing and evolving the Physical Access Control capabilities of Genetec's Security Center SaaS platform. We build scalable, distributed software that powers identity and credential management, access decisions, device communication, and real-time event processing for enterprise customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Open to all levels of experience, from junior to senior
• Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
• Comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies and solving complex technical problems
• Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)
• Experience with modern programming languages such as Go and C#.
• Experience developing backend services, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and messaging technologies such as Azure Event Hubs and Azure Service Bus
• Understanding of common software engineering practices, including observability, logging, monitoring, and performance analysis

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containers, or Kubernetes is an asset

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable backend services and distributed systems, primarily using Go
• Build scalable, cloud-native services and APIs that support enterprise-level products
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making
• Develop reliable software that enables secure communication between cloud services, client applications, and physical access control devices
• Own services throughout their lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, observability, and continuous improvement
