About The Position

Promise Robotics is pioneering Physical AI for homebuilding — a rapidly growing, venture-backed company bringing together AI, robotics, and manufacturing to help the homebuilding industry meet the growing demand for housing. Our robotic systems, built and operated inside AI-powered factories, give the industry the production capacity, consistency, and speed to build more high-quality homes than traditional methods allow. Our team spans AI researchers and roboticists to factory operators, technicians, and production teams — all building the future of homebuilding together. We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our team and contribute to developing cutting-edge solutions for our core robotic manufacturing technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced algorithms and AI systems with hands-on experience in building and deploying complex software systems. As a Software Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize software algorithms and systems that address real-world challenges in the construction industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or related technical fields
• Extensive experience in Python programming
• Experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., RL, CNNs, RNNs, Keras)
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Being a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized, focused and persistent with the ability to work to the plan and meet delivery dates
• Being an excellent problem solver and quick learner

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of robotics solutions and robotic manipulators
• Experience integrating applications with large language models (LLMs), AI APIs, or agentic frameworks to build intelligent software features.
• Familiarity with modern AI development concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool/function calling, vector databases, or model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other Software Developers to develop full-stack software solutions built for robustness, scalability, and performance using state-of-the-art software development practices
• Design and develop software algorithms
• Conduct research and experimentation to improve the performance of software systems
• Perform detailed analysis, design, code development, software integration and testing
• Analyze complex functions, procedures and problems to deliver creative and effective solutions
• Prototype, evaluate, and deploy agentic AI capabilities, including tool integrations, workflow orchestration, and retrieval-augmented experiences to automate complex user workflows
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI techniques and advanced algorithms
• Participate in design and code reviews
