About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to work with a Global Team to provide quality services to external managed service clients as well as internal business units. The position involves working in diverse environments and being responsible for system support across multiple domains, design/quote/delivery projects, and consulting and pre-sales opportunities. The developer will work individually or within a team on software product consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements, which may include support, maintenance, and administration. The role involves direct client interaction and potential travel to client sites. The developer will provide technical direction and guidance to the delivery team and take responsibility for project deliverables throughout all phases of the SDLC.

Requirements

  • Development using Microsoft .NET/C# technology.
  • Experience with Rest API development and use.
  • Experience creating web front end interfaces.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of development methodologies and intimate knowledge of SDLC.
  • Dedicated to meet initiative deadlines.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and appropriate tertiary qualifications.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET/C# development.
  • Experience in working with software solutions involving direct customer or Operations interaction.
  • Design, development, testing and deployment skills.
  • Willing/Experience working in an agile team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GIT.
  • Experience in Java script frameworks (Angular).
  • Development in PHP, Selenium, Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Experience in the utility/energy industry.
  • Oracle Developer certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Database development using Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Developer.
  • All around Automations PL/SQL Developer.
  • Unix shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Solid knowledge of databases and query language/tools.
  • Experience with MicroStrategy, Linux, PowerShell, Jenkins, Jira, Open Text Exstream, and Tivoli.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Technical Specifications documents.
  • Design and programming of agreed developments/modifications to the system.
  • Assist other developers in the design of their components.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure understanding of client’s requirements.
  • Assist Business Analysts with defining customer requirements.
  • Unit testing of code and quality assurance of system.
  • Resolve issues relating to the integration of project deliverables.
  • System promotions to existing and new customers.
  • Ensure established standards and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Diagnose and correct system defects.
  • Identify situations where the system must be customized to meet client requirements.
  • Prepare estimates of the labor hours and calendar time required to implement proposed changes to the software or correct root causes of operational problems.
  • Accurately estimate time frames required to complete assigned tasks.
