About The Position

Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) is seeking Software Development support for a client at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The role involves developing and maintaining software that meets customer needs, analyzing job tasks and user requirements to provide system-wide solutions, and designing solutions based on customer needs, technical considerations, and security requirements. The developer will also lead a team by identifying work and delegating tasks, overseeing the work of others, and ensuring quality. This includes creating and maintaining software code and automation scripts, defining and documenting complex operating environments, and maintaining technical and user documentation. A key aspect of the role is maintaining configuration management and version control using Git or other systems, conducting code reviews and scans for vulnerabilities, performing risk analysis, and automating unit testing. The position requires implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides, identifying and testing software patches, and integrating security controls throughout the development process. The ideal candidate will understand and promote Agile Manifesto values and principles, as well as continuous cyber security risk management.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains working software that satisfies the customers needs.

  • Maintains configuration management and version control within a government provided software repository using Git or other version control system.
  • Conducts code reviews and scans to identify potential flaws in code and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Performs risk analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities and likelihood and impact of exploitation
  • Automates and performs unit testing
  • Implements Security Technical Implementation Guides
  • Identifies, analyzes, implements and tests software patches.
  • Capture security controls used during the requirements phase to integrate security within the process, to identify key security objectives, and to maximize software security while minimizing disruption to plans and schedules.
  • Understands, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto
  • Understands, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management
