Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience
  • Strong knowledge of FAA standards
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
  • Experience developing software using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
  • Experience developing applications within cloud or hybrid environments
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience working within microservices architectures

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting FAA programs, NAS systems, or aviation-related software environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA standards and operational requirements

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions that drive mission success.
  • Participating in architecture and design reviews to help shape technical solutions.
  • Translating system and business requirements into clean, scalable code.
  • Collaborating closely with systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Supporting CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Conducting code reviews.
  • Developing and executing unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Troubleshooting software and system integration challenges.
  • Creating technical documentation.
  • Ensuring all solutions meet federal compliance and security standards.
  • Contributing to verification and validation activities, readiness reviews, and modernization efforts.
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and development processes.
