About The Position

This role seeks a Software Developer (Systems Software) with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance to join a project in Chantilly, VA. The position involves providing technical support for developing a data-driven technical stack and associated analytic microservices to advance the Sponsor organization’s identity data strategy. The Sponsor's office leads a data-oriented service with cross-organizational equities, and the role's requirements will guide ongoing application development for the identity data environment. Key objectives include developing extract, transform, load (ETL) services for established development and production environments, and creating relevant, validated analytic models to enhance the organization’s identity data management.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Demonstrated experience actively participating in data modeling project teams
• Demonstrated experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements
• Demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing and implementing scalable solutions for optimizing operational efficiency of production systems and processes
• Demonstrated experience programming with Python
• Demonstrated experience using data analytic Python packages including Scikit Learn and Pandas
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with source control software such as Git or GitHub
• Demonstrated experience conducting advanced modeling and data analysis
• Demonstrated experience applying varied mathematical, statistical, and data analytics techniques
• Demonstrated experience developing models in support of geographic analysis
• Demonstrated experience using the scientific method such as setting up hypotheses, testing them through experimentation, evaluating results
• Demonstrated experience tying testing to quantitative metrics
• Demonstrated experience gathering and analyzing requirements
• Demonstrated experience with configuration management
• Demonstrated experience with performance measurement and metrics
• Demonstrated experience developing custom database scripts, queries, and graphical interfaces
• Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing logical data architectures
• Demonstrated experience conducting data extraction, parsing, and manipulation and storage
• Demonstrated experience cleaning labeled data in preparation for use in machine learning and statistical approaches
• Demonstrated experience programming with object oriented languages such as Python
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying production read data pipelines incorporating SQL and NoSQL backends
• Demonstrated experience using continuous build and delivery software such as Jenkins
• Demonstrated experience using issue management software such as Jira
• Demonstrated experience using documentation and collaboration software such as Confluence
• Demonstrated experience with automated testing
• Demonstrated experience with deployment of infrastructure or configurations
• Demonstrated experience with cloud resources such as AWS or Azure
• Demonstrated experience with distributed computation
• Demonstrated experience creating parallel processing operations by managing the number of processors used in an operation given memory limitations
• Demonstrated experience automating data preparation methods
• Demonstrated experience creating a CLI for turnkey operation from a non-technical user
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and leveraging APIs

Responsibilities

• Develop a data driven technical stack with associated analytic microservices
• Support the Sponsor organization’s identity data strategy
• Inform ongoing application development for the Sponsor’s identity data environment
• Develop appropriate extract, transform, load services into established development and production environment
• Develop relevant and validated analytic models to transform the organization’s identity data management
