Software Developer (SME) [Systems Software] - $225K – $250K
About The Position
Lead technical efforts supporting an enterprise IT model focused on talent, learning/training compliance, foreign-language development, recruiting, selection, and performance management. This role involves leading a technical team and communicating directly with the Sponsor. The position requires strong Java development experience, hands-on AWS/cloud development and environment management, and experience modernizing and maintaining web applications, systems, APIs, databases, and services. The developer will recommend solutions to improve UX/UI, delivery speed, quality, modernization, and O&M costs. Experience with COTS products, especially ServiceNow, and knowledge of the full system accreditation lifecycle are essential. The role also includes managing Tier 1–3 IT support through service-management systems and developing IT documentation such as SOPs, workflows, knowledge bases, deployment checklists, architecture diagrams, security plans, and administrative procedures. Managing enterprise software lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, and license renewals, as well as applying Agile methodology and accessibility standards, are key responsibilities.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Strong Java development experience.
- Hands-on AWS/cloud development and environment management.
- Experience modernizing and maintaining web applications, systems, APIs, databases, and services.
- Ability to recommend solutions that improve UX/UI, delivery speed, quality, modernization, and O&M costs.
- Experience with COTS products, especially ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of the full system accreditation lifecycle.
