About The Position

The Senior Software Developer is required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, and maintaining and conducting unit tests. The role also involves resolving and troubleshooting technical problems that arise during the use and operation of software packages, including providing technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations.

Requirements

10+ years of experience as a designer and developer in large-scale multi-client J2EE web applications.
Working experience in HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript frameworks, Angular, React or VueJS and Node.js.
Strong knowledge of SOA and microservice design, web services and related standards (REST, JSON, SOAP).
Proven web development experience, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, HTML5, CSS.
Experience in SDLC, Digital and Agile methodologies, source control, DevOps, CI/CD, and related tools (Git, Azure DevOps, Jira).
Experience with deployment of complex, maintainable and scalable enterprise systems and applications, with the capacity for problem-solving and making sound recommendations and decisions.
Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.
Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools.
Experience in one or more programming languages.
Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting.
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
Experience with one or more communications protocols.

Proven experience with WCAG and AODA.

Advanced knowledge of theory and principles of systems design, configuration, integration and development, IT security, programming concepts and languages, and related methods, techniques, practices and standards.
Knowledge of UI/UX and accessibility best practices, including Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA).
Knowledge of IT security best practices and protocols (OAuth 2, SAML).
Experience with relational and spatial databases.
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Great knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structure related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV and FND.
Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and using partition tables.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of data warehouse, ETL methodologies and OBIEE.
Demonstrated work experience on Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) will be a great asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities to be able to oversee the quality assurance of the project from technical perspective.
