About The Position

Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Software Developer/Scrum Master position for the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems Contract. The ideal candidate will be a leader and problem solver. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite. The Digital Modernization Sector is focused on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions to include applying cloud-factory and aaS (as a Service) capabilities and integrating commercial products to provide a comprehensive digital engineering approach to IT transformation. Our team is solving the world’s toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
  • BS degree and years of 8+ prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in the following applications frameworks (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML
  • Familiarity & knowledge: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
  • Must have the following certification: 8140 DCWF work role 802 IT Project Manager, CompTIA Security + is preferrable, also will accept SecurityX / CASP+ or CISSP
  • Applications/Frameworks (at least 2): JIRA, Confluence, & Slack
  • Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas: Agile software development, agile methodologies, software development life cycle management, cross-functional team

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience
  • Active TS/SCI preferred
  • SAFe Scrum Master & SAFe for Teams, or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master & SAFe for Teams
  • 2 years’ experience as a Scrum Master

Responsibilities

  • Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
  • Unit testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Write effective APIs
  • Create Use cases and Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation
  • Drive the daily execution of an Agile project teams
  • Help define, document, and track the completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs
  • Run agile meetings such as daily scrum, retrospectives, and planning
  • Protects the team from over-committing and scope creep during sprint planning.
  • Assists in estimation and sub-task creation.
  • Leads and captures feedback and generates action items during sprint retrospective meetings.
  • Works as the administrator of the scrum board.
  • Ensures that the tasks are up to date in the scrum tool and that the selected tools are working well.
  • Meets individually with team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Assists in ironing out team disagree-ments about processes and work styles.
  • Consults team members on how best to work within a scrum team.
  • Assists Product Owners with collecting reporting metrics to better provide status.
  • Aids the scrum team by eliminating any external blockers and manages internal roadblocks through process improvement.
  • Ability to supervise up to 9 people.
