About The Position

The Software Developer (Salesforce) develops, enhances, and supports Salesforce solutions that enable critical business processes and technology initiatives. This role partners with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions, build integrations across systems, and deliver secure, high-quality applications that improve operational efficiency, data flow, and user experience.

Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years of Salesforce development experience, including implementation, enhancement, and support work in enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with Apex development, declarative automation, and Salesforce platform customization.
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems, APIs, middleware platforms, and third party services.
Experience supporting scalable workflows, transaction processing, and multi-system integrations.
Experience supporting business-critical applications, workflow solutions, or transaction processing systems in enterprise environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce application development, solution delivery, and integration concepts.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD and deployment processes.
Familiarity with regulated financial data environments and compliance-sensitive application development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support effective technical solutions.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently on assigned technical work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience may vary by assigned team or product area and may include experience with one or more of the following: Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Digital Lending, Automotive Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
Integration with credit bureau, fraud, identity verification, pricing, dealer, or other external service providers.
Credit application, underwriting, loan origination, lending workflow, dealer portal, sales enablement, commercial, or wholesale systems.
Automotive finance, captive finance, consumer lending, commercial lending, or other regulated financial services environments.
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or other relevant platform certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support Salesforce solutions that address business requirements and improve operational processes.
Translate functional and technical requirements into application components, workflows, and system enhancements on the Salesforce platform.
Build and maintain Apex, Flow, integrations, and platform components to support business process automation and system functionality.
Configure and enhance Salesforce features, custom objects, validations, and automation to support evolving business needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and platform-related problems in a timely manner.
Follow established development standards, testing practices, and documentation requirements to support solution quality and maintainability.
Develop, maintain, and support integrations between Salesforce and internal or external systems using APIs, middleware, and platform tools.
Build and enhance interface components that enable reliable data exchange across systems and support business workflows.
Implement asynchronous processing, event-driven capabilities, and integration logic to support performance and scalability.
Participate in integration testing, issue resolution, and monitoring activities to help ensure accurate and reliable data flow.
Work with integration, middleware, and data teams to support interface requirements, mappings, and technical specifications.
Apply security and control requirements in the handling of system interfaces and sensitive data.
Support the design and maintenance of data structures, validation rules, and data quality controls within Salesforce.
Develop and enhance processes that improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability across the platform.
Assist with data conversion, migration, and bulk processing activities related to enhancements or system changes.
Identify and resolve data-related issues, including validation failures, duplicate records, and integration exceptions.
Support platform reliability through monitoring, defect remediation, and performance improvement efforts.
Maintain technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and support procedures.
Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and support solution delivery.
Participate in technical design discussions and provide input on scalable, supportable approaches for platform enhancements.
Work with architecture, integration, and data teams to ensure solutions align with established standards and technical requirements.
Communicate technical issues, dependencies, and implementation considerations clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
Support planning, estimation, testing, and release activities for projects, enhancements, and production changes.
Follow established development standards, deployment processes, and platform governance practices in the delivery of assigned work.
Contribute to code quality, test coverage, and maintainability through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance system usability and efficiency.
Support deployment, post-release validation, and issue resolution activities for platform changes.
Stay current on Salesforce platform capabilities, development tools, and related technologies to support ongoing skill development and solution improvement.
