About The Position

KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Software Developer, Journeyman, to join our team. This position will be onsite in St. Inigoes, MD. Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers’ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices. This position performs research, design, and develops computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

Requirements

  • Write and maintain C++ code, including knowledge of
  • Data structures

  • Experience using version control tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with Bash and the Linux command line
  • Contributed to a software development team by participating in code reviews, pair programming, and writing technical documentation.

  • Ability to develop CMake scripts to manage code compilation and installation
  • Ability to perform tasks under the guidance of senior engineers, programmers, and managers as a valuable, contributing member of the team.

  • Microsoft office proficiency.

  • Candidate must have 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.

  • Experience developing using PCIe protocols to support the creation and development of software interfaces for hardware peripherals

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
  • As required, work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
