About The Position

WinChoice USA is a home improvement company with over 400 employees, and its IT team develops internal software, including internal tools and AI systems. These tools are critical for daily operations, used by the sales floor, fulfillment team, and executives. The internship offers the opportunity to work on production-level projects that solve real operational problems. Interns will contribute to building internal tools, work on agent-facing infrastructure for the AI team (including MCP servers and tool definitions), integrate with live systems, and write automated data pipelines. The role involves participating in requirements discussions to understand business problems before they are translated into technical specifications.

Requirements

• Ability to write code in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Understanding of APIs: reading documentation, authentication, and handling unexpected responses.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Ability to explain code functionality to non-technical individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building something with an LLM API.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containers, or similar technologies.
• Experience building something to solve a personal annoyance or problem.

Responsibilities

• Building internal tools that solve real operational problems.
• Working alongside the AI team on agent-facing infrastructure: MCP servers, tool definitions, and the plumbing that lets an LLM do useful work against real data.
• Integrating with live systems: HubSpot CRM, BigQuery, Microsoft Graph, and others.
• Writing automations and data pipelines that run unattended.
• Participating in requirements conversations to understand business problems.
