About The Position

The Dayforce Product Development team is looking for a talented Software Developer III to help build the next generation of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This is an opportunity to reinvent HCM and develop award-winning, innovative solutions that challenge the industry's perception of what an HCM platform can do. As a Software Developer III on our Global Payroll team, you will contribute to our industry-leading solution that helps organizations improve efficiency by paying employees accurately and on time. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, analysis, prototyping, development, testing, and product support. Working closely with clients, implementation partners, and cross-functional Dayforce teams, you will help design and deliver innovative functionality that serves customers around the world. This role supports Government of Canada and U.S. Government projects. Candidates must be eligible to obtain or currently hold Canadian Protected B security clearance, must have five or more years of residency in Canada, and must be Canadian citizens eligible to work on Government of Canada and U.S. Government projects.

Requirements

  • In-depth experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
  • Proficiency with T-SQL and a solid understanding of relational database systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, including Azure.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software development principles.
  • Experience working as a key contributor within an Agile Scrum team.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of design, development, and quality through completion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders, co-workers, managers and/or clients across the world. Further, our back office support teams, including but not limited to Human Resources, are primarily English speaking. Employees need to be able to communicate with these departments in English to appropriately administer their business relationship. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking co-workers, managers, stakeholders and/or clients, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business logic and services that support the Dayforce Global Payroll solution.
  • Contribute to the modernization of the platform by moving functionality from the monolith to microservices.
  • Design and develop microservices.
  • Perform hands-on development using C#, SQL, Kafka, and Azure.
  • Participate in research, design, and development for new initiatives.
  • Participate in daily Agile Scrum ceremonies.
  • Contribute to both team-based and individual development projects.
