About The Position

Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups. We are creating a new role at Blitzy called Software Developer Growth Engineer. This is not a traditional Software Engineer, SDR, Marketing, or DevRel role because most enterprise software companies already have those. Very few have a systematic way to create technical champions within software engineering organizations. Software Developer Growth Engineers are designed to solve this problem. The mission is to generate enterprise demand by demonstrating the capabilities of the Blitzy platform through public technical work, content creation, developer engagement, and targeted outreach. These individuals will become expert operators of the Blitzy platform and use it to showcase autonomous software development in real-world scenarios, building software publicly, creating technical content, engaging developers, identifying technical champions, and driving enterprise adoption of Blitzy at scale.

Requirements

2+ year of professional software engineering experience
Strong software engineering fundamentals
Experience building and shipping production software
Builder mentality - you default to making things
Strong communicator who can explain complex ideas clearly
Naturally curious and entrepreneurial
Comfortable being public-facing and creating content
Passionate about AI and software development tooling
Enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge with developer communities
Active GitHub profile
Open-source contributions
Technical blog, YouTube channel, or public projects
Hackathon participation or startup experience

Responsibilities

Master and Showcase Blitzy: Become an expert operator of the Blitzy platform, Execute autonomous software development workflows end-to-end, Demonstrate how developers can leverage Blitzy for real-world use cases, Serve as a public example of what autonomous software development looks like
Build Projects in Public Using Blitzy: Building greenfield applications, Refactoring popular open-source repositories, Fixing publicly documented CVEs, Modernizing legacy applications, Reverse engineering codebases and generating technical specifications, Improving performance and scalability, Developing open-source tools and technical benchmarks, Demonstrating large-scale autonomous development initiatives
Create Technical Content: Technical articles, tutorials, and engineering write-ups, Videos and project breakdowns, Benchmark reports
Developer Engagement: Participate in developer communities and engage software developers online, Answer technical questions and build credibility through technical work
Enterprise Demand Generation: Conduct targeted outreach to developers, architects, and engineering leaders, Identify technical champions and generate enterprise opportunities, Partner with Sales and AI Solutions Consultants to move pipeline forward
