Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to take on advanced tasks beyond simple pick-and-place. We aim to revolutionize robotics in industry, freeing human resources from labor-intensive work to focus on intellectual challenges. As a Software Developer for Robotics at Mujin, you will design and implement cutting-edge algorithms for real-time motion planning, perception, and control of industrial robots and grippers. You will develop cutting-edge robotics technology, including the design, implementation, and testing of algorithms that run on numerous robots in real time. You will test and deploy your work in simulation and the real world on various off-the-shelf and in-house robotics hardware. Within that scope, you will specialize in gripper technology, where robotics stops being simulation and starts being physics: vacuum and airflow, seal quality, load balance, and hardware that wears. You will model that physics in production C++ and Python and close the loop back into motion planning and grasp selection. The work spans real-time control against industrial IO and sensors, calibration and fault-diagnosis pipelines, bench experiments, and production data from customer sites. This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotics, automation, and pushing the boundaries of intelligent systems.
