About The Position

This role involves designing, implementing, and expanding data pipelines through extraction, transformation, and loading activities. The developer will translate technical system specifications into functional, tested applications, including writing detailed programming specifications, generating code, compiling data-driven programs, and conducting unit tests. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting technical issues that arise during software operation and providing technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migration phases.

Requirements

Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level.

Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.
Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications.
Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools.
Experience in one or more programming languages.
Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting.
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages.
Experience with one or more communications protocols.
Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Experience with application architecture, front-end & back-end integration, API development.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Proficient with both front end and back end development, including any associated areas such as database design/management and DevOps.
Knowledge and experience with design and implementation of the overall web architecture.
Experience with implementation of approved user interface, design and deployment of database.
Knowledge and experience ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability.
Knowledge and experience with the design and construction of REST API services.
Knowledge and experience integrating front-end UI with the constructed API.
Knowledge and experience in design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment.
Extensive experience in the use of Angular v7+, JavaScript, Typescript, Node such as NPM, RXJS, Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot), Bitbucket, REST API, Hibernate/JPA.
Experience in integration of commercially available API design and implementation (load balancing, discovery, resiliency).
Experience with React.
10+ UID development, Angular, CSS, Agile paradigm, usage of RSA.
10+ Java development experience.
10+ Database experience: Oracle and Open Source DB.
Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5.
Extensive experience coding for mobile devices.
10+ years of experience with developing application in compliance with PCI and WCAG 2.0 Standards, and bringing applications to AODA Compliancy.
Experience with JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML 5.

Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications.
Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.

Excellent knowledge of front-end web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS, with ability to render server-side and client-side content.
Experience designing user interactions on websites, developing servers and databases for website functionality and coding for mobile platforms.
Fundamental knowledge of UX/UI.
Experience ensuring front end code is able to query APIs.
Experience with Java WebLogic and Java programming for web applications (Tomcat, Weblogic), EJB, Servlet.
Strong database skills and SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server).
Experience / knowledge of REST, SOAP web services.
Experience / knowledge of Azure DevOps, JIRA, agile/scrum.
Previous Public Sector experience.
Previous Public Sector experience and experience working with government 2 Way Secure Messaging Gateway is an asset.

Responsibilities
