About The Position

The software application and support team is seeking talented and enthusiastic summer interns to contribute towards key projects supporting the Department of Energy’s national security mission. Experience a work environment that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and partnership. The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM degree.

Requirements

HS (or Equiv) + 1 or more yrs of university education
Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an undergraduate STEM program
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Nice To Haves

Majoring in computer science, software engineering, or similar STEM degree
Strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills
Python, C#, Linus, SQL

Responsibilities

Work with the Business Applications team to design, implement and manage software applications through writing/ debugging code
Participate in code reviews and other quality assurance activities
Troubleshooting software issues
Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity within the Business Applications team
