About The Position

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Object oriented programming languages (Java and Python)
  • Design and development of RESTful services, microservices-based applications, and Spring-based frameworks
  • Design and development of distributed data processing using frameworks (Apache Flink or Apache Spark)
  • Automated testing using test frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, or Karate)
  • Design and optimization of relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Event-driven and asynchronous application development using messaging systems (Apache Kafka)
  • Development and deployment of scalable applications in cloud computing environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Development, deployment, and orchestration of containerized applications (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Application logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability practices
  • Software build, integration, deployment, and version control processes
  • Design fault tolerance and highly available distributed systems
  • Concurrent and multithreaded application design and performance optimization

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software.
  • Apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
  • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture.

  • Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
