About The Position

Amazon Selection & Catalog Systems (ASCS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join an early-stage team building brand-new services and tools from scratch. This role involves driving technical design, owning end-to-end solutions, and tackling complex problems at the intersection of massive scale and ambiguity. The team focuses on ensuring product identity and traceability at global scale, processing standardized product data, extracting structured data from unstructured content using LLMs, automatic item classification, big data visualization and analytics, and developing massively distributed systems. This is an opportunity to work on problems where the answer doesn't exist yet and build it, with a direct impact on hundreds of millions of customers and sellers worldwide.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
