About The Position

Halogen Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer who will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon AI-related requirements. You will develop software solutions for AI-driven automation and efficiency gains, and design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models and tools tailored to the operational needs of the customer. You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement mission requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university; or zero (0) years of experience with a qualifying Master's or PhD degree.
• Three (3) years of Software Engineering experience with a high school diploma or GED would also be acceptable.
• Experience with Prompt Engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Polygraph clearance required.

Nice To Haves

• Able to work in a collaborative environment as a team player.
• Familiarity with commercial and open-source AI/ML frameworks and platforms.
• Experience designing, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models (LLMs).
• Ability to analyze data structures and data objects.
