About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, stable utilities, and production equipment. The Software Control Engineer will ensure company compliance with governmental requirements, support smooth equipment operation, assist with equipment failures, and promote preventative maintenance management. Key duties include preparing and verifying automation equipment accounts, performing hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, managing spare parts requisitions, and developing/implementing upgrade plans. The position also involves preparing production technology management systems, reviewing design documents, organizing technical problem-solving and innovation, and developing/debugging new product control systems.

Requirements

Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
At least three years of work experience at Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, AB, Kuka Robot System etc.
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Regularly required to stand for long periods.
Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
Visual acuity including, but not limited to: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
Familiar with office software WORD, EXCEL.
Official document writing ability.
Familiar with brand/non-brand PLC programming, touch screen programming, experienced in motion control programming.
Familiar with the application of servo, stepping and frequency conversion.
Familiar with the selection and debugging of universal electric components.
Proficient in KUKA robotic system configuration and robot electric ports.
Familiar with robot programming command and advanced programming.
Familiar with glass production process.
Familiar with basic knowledge about the machinery and electrics.
Familiar with the basic structure of glass production equipment.
Mechanical technician should master "four understandings and three know-hows", four understands are understand principle, structure, performance and usage; three know-hows are how to use, how to maintain and how to troubleshoot.
Familiar with the application of computer office software, particularly control programming software.
At least familiar with two of Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, AB, KUKA robot and order programming system.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe working environment free of recognized hazards.
Ensure company has stable utilities and production equipment.
Ensure company compliance with all governmental requirements.
Ensure smooth operation of equipment, support for abrupt equipment failure, and promote PM management.
Prepare and verify the automation equipment account of each factory.
Regularly inspect hardware, perform software maintenance, and assist in solving key issues and technical obstacles related to equipment sudden breakdown by program issue.
Fix program and control system related equipment sudden breakdown.
Apply for spare parts requisition lists relating to automation equipment.
Regularly backup or revise automation programs and ensure the reliability of backups.
Prepare transformation or upgrade plans, supervise their implementation, and debug all related products affected by the transformation/upgrade.
Organize the preparation of the production technology management system, prepare or revise technical operation specifications, and ensure strict implementation, supervision, inspection, and correction of the system and specifications.
Review designed documents and drawings, participate in preliminary investigations, location surveys, and preparations before construction; ensure the accuracy of design drawings and smooth construction.
Organize technicians for technical problem-solving, technical innovation, and promote new technology, materials, and processes to ensure production equipment is in the best technical state.
Develop and debug new product related programs and control systems.
