About The Position

Manages the requirements for planning, organizing, and implementing enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions. Applies advanced skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software configuration management for large programs of over 100 staff
  • Experience with Git repositories, branching strategies, version tagging, and release governance
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for build, artifact, and release traceability
  • Knowledge of release management for multi‑component systems such as microservices, shared libraries, and APIs
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government or defense, highly regulated, or mission programs
  • Experience managing software bills-of-materials (SBOMs) and license compliance
  • Experience with environment configuration or versioning across development, staging, and production tiers
  • Experience in DevSecOps, release engineering, or build engineering
  • Knowledge of Agile SAFe or similar frameworks that include CM governance
  • Knowledge of configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm
  • Knowledge of artifact repositories, such as Nexus, and binary promotion workflows
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity controls related to code integrity and provenance
  • Knowledge of multi‑tenant, distributed, or cloud‑native architectures requiring coordinated releases
  • Ability to script in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for CM automation

Responsibilities

  • Defining and enforcing configuration baselines across multiple release trains
  • Assisting with designing, implementing, and maintaining CM plans, policies, and standards
  • Auditing, monitoring, and reporting on configuration integrity across multiple teams
  • Working with technical leads, PMO, and QA to coordinate code freezes, release schedules, and approvals as well as drive adoption and compliance
