About The Position

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Software Configuration Management Analyst to join our team. The qualified candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and will develop and maintain software configuration management tools that support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. The ideal candidate has strong experience across software configuration and release management and thrives coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams to keep products on schedule and audit-ready.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Software configuration management, configuration change management, and release and data management.
  • Develop and maintain software configuration management tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab.
  • Knowledgeable on Sprints in a JIRA environment.
  • Coordinating software and hardware releases across Release Management, QA, and Engineering teams.
  • Maintaining databases to track and manage deliverable products through completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general software applications.
  • Familiarity with development and production contracts.
  • Verification and analysis of work products for accuracy.
  • Experience with documentation markings, formatting, and handling.
  • Familiar with CTs, CRs, and CNs.
  • Knowledgeable in Windchill/EPDM.

Responsibilities

  • Supports software configuration management across the full product lifecycle.
  • Develops and maintains software configuration management tools.
  • Performs configuration change management along with records, release, and data management.
  • Analyzes proposed hardware and software changes to determine their effect on the overall product and system.
  • Performs release engineering tasks to ensure new software products are documented, compliant with standard configurations, and logistically sustainable.
  • Maintains the Software Configuration Management System, including code documentation, problem report and change request processing, software build documents, and delivery of software products to operational environments.
  • Interfaces frequently with cross-functional leads, engineers, and internal and external contacts to achieve program objectives on schedule.
