About The Position

The Software Architect works across development teams to help design and build the underlying architecture of the components that make up isolved. The successful candidate has the ability to think about and design systems at a higher level, seeing the whole picture. They have strong skills in developing reusable components and patterns, and an understanding of various hosting models, distributed system paradigms, and failure modes. They also understand different architectural patterns, and when they are useful and when they should be avoided.

Requirements

  • 5+ years developing web applications
  • 2+ years developing cloud native applications
  • Ability to work independently to research and solve complex problems
  • Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Strong skills with Azure
  • Strong skills with Microservice Architecture
  • Strong skills with C#
  • Strong skills with SQL
  • Strong skills with Unit Testing
  • Strong skills with .NET
  • Experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core WebAPI
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Experience with SOLID principles

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural guidance to multiple development teams as they drive projects from inception to production deployment with a strong focus on performance and quality
  • Establish, document, and implement the guidance and best practices that make up the isolved coding standards
  • Perform code reviews to give developers feedback on their work and ensure high quality standards are being met
  • Assist in tracking down production issues and responding to support cases
  • Review and identify performance issues, provide direction and strategies for resolving them
