JOB SUMMARY: The Software Architect is needed to be a member of an Architecture Team that leads and coordinates the activities of a software development team and coordinates discussion and understanding of the software architecture to the Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, and PMO. Position responsibilities will include: Work with our lead Software Architect and senior developers that lead the software development activities of a group of 20+ software developers. Participate and lead discussions at customer meetings, working groups, and technical interchange meetings associated with the work performed in this project. Provide project briefing materials upon request. Research, design, prototype and document web architectures, systems interfaces, and user interfaces in accordance with customer priorities, industry standards, and policy. Guide the development of administrator and user documentation, including reference manuals, installation guides, and data sheets. Assist with the integration, testing, troubleshooting and fielding of the system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field and at least 15+ years of related experience or typically a Master's Degree with 17+ years of related experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a Degree.
  • MUST have hands-on experience as a senior software engineer performing full stack development.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams, conducting code peer reviews, and managing complex project lifecycles.
  • A track record of designing, deploying, and maintaining production systems.
  • Experience using AI in the Software Development Lifecycle to increase productivity of the development team.
  • Mastery or varied architecture styles.
  • Expertise using Model Based Engineering and leading a team in the successful completion of moving processes into the digital engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of UML and SysML
  • Experienced in defining and maintaining the implementation schedule used for driving performance, objectives, and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with Program/Project management customers, reporting on progress, schedule, and risk
  • Must have an ACTIVE Secret clearance to be considered and would be eligible to obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance in the future.
  • DoD 8570 approved security certification (i.e., Security +) (Will be required 90 days after hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MBSE tools (prefer Cameo/NoMagic) and related tools.
  • Experience with database management software.
  • Past Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with systems performance analysis.
  • Experience working in all phases of the engineering product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
