About The Position

Booz Allen is hiring a lead Software Architect to maintain and execute a network of simulators and modeling capabilities used to provide rehearsal and exercise capabilities for various units. The simulators are located throughout the country. The engineering team manages the network, maintains its Authority to Connect (ATO), improves system design and architecture, provides tier 1–3 troubleshooting during operations, performs hardware installations and lifecycle management, and delivers software releases, deployments, new features, and innovation. The Software Architect will lead the software engineering team in compiling and running source code, maintaining the CI/CD pipeline, and translating simulator operational requirements into manageable JIRA tasks or features. The role sets the technical direction for implementing features across programming languages, guides integration with other applications and simulations, and drives program innovation. The architect will also lead the transition to an infrastructure-as-code, containerized environment to help the team develop and integrate new capabilities rapidly. This position leads an Agile Scrum team, mentors engineers, reviews designs and code, and communicates daily with team members and stakeholders.
