About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Architect to support the E-7A mission team in Oklahoma City, OK. Our teams is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Software Architects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance Post-Start is required
  • 2+ years’ experience creating and documenting systems or software architecture and designs
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test
  • Experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Government Reference Architectures
  • Experience with model-based engineering
  • Experience with Requirement Tracing
  • Experience with defense systems and platforms
  • Familiarity with software DevSecOps practices
  • Experience producing technology roadmaps and capability roadmaps

Responsibilities

  • Supports the design, development, analyses, and maintenance of software systems that meet industry, customer and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards
  • Partners with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and support translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts
  • Contributes to completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities; supports integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Supports code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
  • Supports monitoring and reviewing test completion, verification processes and issue resolution for software systems
  • Supports development of user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
  • Supports reviewing product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by contributing to tracking and evaluation of internal team and supplier performance
  • Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development
  • Supports performing software project management and software supplier management activities.
