About The Position

A strategic technical leader focused on shaping the target state data ecosystem, guiding direction, and ensuring solutions are technically sound and scalable. This role involves defining and evolving the future-state data vision (platforms, flows, capabilities), identifying gaps between current and target state, and guiding roadmap priorities. The individual will bring strong depth across data platforms, pipelines, cloud, and integrations, providing technical guidance and guardrails. They will drive a reusable, platform-first mindset over point solutions and ensure alignment to enterprise patterns (data domains, medallion layers, etc.). This role requires cross-team influence, working across engineering, data, product, and business teams to align stakeholders on direction, trade-offs, and sequencing. Requirements

  • University / college degree
  • Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the future-state data vision (platforms, flows, capabilities)
  • Identify gaps between current and target state and guide roadmap priorities
  • Provide technical guidance and guardrails, not detailed architecture ownership
  • Drive reusable, platform-first mindset vs point solutions
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise patterns (data domains, medallion layers, etc.)
  • Work across engineering, data, product, and business teams
  • Align stakeholders on direction, trade-offs, and sequencing
  • Leads in the overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform, and Web-based application systems; oversees all application system processes.
  • Develops application architecture and blueprints aimed at reflecting enterprise business logic.
  • Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools.
  • Directs mapping activities on specific technology platforms.
  • Provides technical guidance to application development teams.
  • Consults on integration and conversion activities.
  • Conducts reviews, and analyses organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications.
