Our Co-op Program is a transformative experience designed to help you grow, connect, and take the next step in your professional journey. The Access Technology & Systems Engineering team is a diverse collection of professionals who work with a variety of organizational roles ranging from software engineering teams whose software integrates with analytics services, network architects and engineers, to some of the leading broadband experts who have pioneered the current and future DOCSIS, PON and Ethernet broadband access technologies. Do you like big challenges and working within a highly motivated team environment? This role will allow you to work in a technically exciting domain and be part of a team that thrives on big challenges, results, quality, and agility and will be responsible for key components leading to the success of our technology evolution. Work with hardware engineers, network architects, and software engineers in the development of our next generation, industry leading access network. You will be working with these industry leaders in creating and maintaining automated laboratory test procedures in the development and roll-out of leading edge DOCSIS 4.0 and Fiber Optic Communications networks. Throughout deployment you will also be monitoring and evaluating the quality and performance of the network components and overall network. Success in this role is characterized by the creation of quality software and ensuring through automation product defects are captured before the products are deployed in the field.

Requirements

  • Programming/scripting experience including Python
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation are required
  • Passion to learn new technology
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2026, through March 26, 2027.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Nice To Haves

  • Python Programming; Proficiency in Python development
  • Basic ML models for time-series analysis and anomaly detection
  • Familiarity with querying data from large scale databases, ie Mongo
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts
  • Working knowledge of electrical test equipment
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services
  • Proficiency using Git-based workflows via GitHub
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD automation (preferred)
  • Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation scripts/programs to evaluate product and network performance
  • Help coordinate overall software development using Github for software control and maintenance
  • Use AI tools and “vibe” coding for software development
  • Interface with electrical test equipment for automated measurements
  • Use data analytics to evaluate large scale network performance and test results
