As a Software Application Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of talented software developers to create high-quality solutions using Microsoft and Azure technologies. Your responsibilities will span people management and ensuring the smooth operation of software systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years in software development experience within information technology in a highly regulated field such as insurance or finance.
- 5 years minimum within a management role
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and web technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, Azure services)
- Excellent supervisory and communication abilities
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

- Master’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Mentor and manage a team of software developers
- Set clear goals, provide guidance, and ensure deadlines are met
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Ensure the stability, reliability, and continuous operation of software systems
- Address any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with other departments to meet service-level agreements
- Evaluate team members’ performance regularly
- Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback
- Implement performance improvement plans (PIPS) when necessary
- Collaborate with PMO, architects, product owners, scrum masters, and other stakeholders
- Escalate risks and concerns effectively and timely
