About The Position

Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. Seeking an application developer to support the Marine Corps’ Signal Intelligence Systems (SIS) group to develop mission planning tools. The position will be responsible for creating and modifying Graphical User Interface (GUI) components and web page design. Candidate must be capable of creating Application Programming Interface (API) connections to database information that will be presented in the GUI. Applications will be developed inside of multiple Docker containers and will interact with components existing in other containers as well as external data feeds.

Requirements

Secret Cleared Software Application Developer
BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other engineering related field.
Six (6) years of experience in C4ISR related programs but might be able to substitute C4ISR for other relevant experience.
Lead/Sr. Front End Developer experience
JavaScript/HTML/CSS with experience in either Vue, React, or Angular.
Wireframe development experience
Maven experience for build development.
Familiar with coding security best practices and implementation.
Experience with web service development.
Typescript development (Javascript comparable)
RESTful API design and integration
State Management (Pinia Specific)
Git version control and branching strategies
Agile development practices
Database integration
API integration and HTTP client management
Security implementation
Secret level Clearance required, can support higher levels.
Ability to get Security+ within 6 months.
Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Docker and containerization experience
PostgreSQL development experience.
Conducting SonarQube scans and evaluations.
Use of DevSecOps processes and components (Git).
Experience using Java.
Cloud services experience.

Responsibilities

Creating and modifying Graphical User Interface (GUI) components and web page design.
Creating Application Programming Interface (API) connections to database information that will be presented in the GUI.
Developing applications inside of multiple Docker containers.

Communicating task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
Leading and participating in meetings and working groups.
Attending work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
Working on computer for long periods, and communicating with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face.
