About The Position

This role is for a Senior Software and Solutions Engineer within the Advanced Solutions Practice. The primary focus is to deliver customized workflow solutions using Ricoh ProcessDirector (RPD) within customer environments. This involves automating document and job manufacturing processes, building and configuring workflows based on specifications, and supporting customer implementations for accurate and successful deployments. The engineer will collaborate with Solution Architects, project managers, sales teams, and other engineers. While not a pure software development role, there will be opportunities for limited scripting or targeted development. A key aspect of the role is engaging with customers to drive adoption, satisfaction, and effective use of Ricoh ProcessDirector. The position requires minimal travel, typically once or twice per year, with flexibility for additional travel when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with JavaScript
• Strong passion for learning and the ability to quickly pick up new concepts
• Proven technical troubleshooting skills, including resolving complex issues across multiple systems and teams
• Effective and professional communication skills across multiple channels (email, instant messaging, phone, and in person)
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to shared goals
• Comfortable working directly with customers, including delivering training and onsite services
• Availability for occasional travel to customer locations within the United States

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ivy, etc.)
• Experience with scripting or automation (Perl, Python, Groovy, shell, Windows batch)
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience using Agentic AI
• Experience with relational databases (DB2, PostgreSQL)
• Web application development experience (Java, JavaScript, Tomcat, DB2/PSQL)
• Experience in the print industry, including exposure to Ricoh ProcessDirector
• Familiarity with print output formats such as AFP, PDF, and PostScript
• Java development experience
• Experience with USPS mailer programs (CASS/Encode, PAVE/Presort, PostalOne!, TracNTrace, CertifiedMail, IMb, etc.)

Responsibilities
