Engineer II, Software Analysis Engineering

Samsung ElectronicsPlano, TX
Onsite

About The Position

This role is accountable for leading field integration testing efforts (FF A/FIT/FSA) of all 4G/5G key features with customers. This includes test plan development, reviewing test plans with customers, driving cross-functional teams to execution, review of test results, issue identification, analysis, and quality proofing until software acceptance is achieved. The position leverages electrical engineering principles related to RF system behavior, signal propagation, and hardware-software interoperability to validate end-to-end network performance. The role also involves applying electrical engineering foundations in digital signal processing, providing Tier 3 support, and analyzing/troubleshooting scheduler-related issues reported from customer labs, field sites, and production networks. Additionally, the engineer will review and provide recommendations to improve LTE RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key KPIs, performing trials, and providing optimization guidelines. The role aids in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases, and third-party product evaluation to build product synergies, conducting assessments using electrical engineering methodologies such as hardware interface evaluation and signal-path analysis. Close collaboration with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ is essential for successful new product rollouts and developments. The engineer will also educate customers on Samsung's new products and services, both individually and in team environments, explaining relevant engineering concepts, and ensuring that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.
