About The Position

This 6-Month Software Acceleration Program is designed to identify, develop, and evaluate high-potential talent for Thryv's Software Account Management (SAM) team. It is specifically built for individuals with 1-2 years of outbound sales experience who wish to transition into software account management, moving from prospecting to closing roles. The program prepares and evaluates talent for placement into Software Account Representative (SAR) or Senior Software Account Representative (Sr SAR) roles. It is a program role offering full benefits and a clear outcome: top performers will advance directly into an SAR role, exceptional performers may be considered for Sr SAR placement, and those who do not meet performance expectations may conclude their participation at the end of the program. This offers a direct pathway into Software Account Management.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of outbound sales experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Confidence engaging with decision makers across phone, email, and social channels
  • Ability to manage high volume, handle objections, and build pipeline
  • Desire to strengthen full-cycle SaaS sales skills in a closing role
  • Comfort working within structured goals, metrics, and performance expectations
  • A growth mindset and strong coachability
  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time (should live local to the city on the job posting)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound outreach and actively create qualified sales opportunities
  • Deliver compelling, value-driven messaging to SMB and mid-market prospects
  • Execute structured call, email, and LinkedIn engagement strategies
  • Partner closely with SAM leaders and sales partners to refine conversion tactics
  • Strengthen your SaaS sales acumen through ongoing coaching, training, and hands-on platform experience
  • Demonstrate consistent performance within a structured evaluation framework
